Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy got a much-needed update to fix 100+ bugs

Rockstar Games announced a new patch for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Sorry, no Nintendo Switch as of now, but for everyone else, you’ll be getting 100+ bug fixes!

It aims to clear up significant bugs that the community has memed to death. No longer will CJ bike into blinding sheets of rain during the night, and let’s hope character models don’t curve unnaturally again. Besides those fixes, Rockstar Games also tackled misspellings on signs and addressed “an issue with the shape of the Donut and Nut props at the Tuff Nuts donut shop.” The full patch notes for all three games on the version 1.03 update are readily available for you to see, but I’ll warn you that it’s mighty long – so I got a video for you as well!

Rockstar Games Tweet

The GTA Trilogy is on the opposite end of its November 11th release competitor, Shin Megami Tensei V. Memes aside, GTA Trilogy is a pretty awful showcase of remastered game potential. At this point, everyone believes it was a cash grab all along by its undercooked quality.

Not to mention, PC players experienced lockouts from playing the game for days, and others were disgusted by how bad the visuals looked compared to the modded versions out there. Then the bugs happened, and the nostalgia train came to a swift halt. Everything considered, at least Rockstar Games issued an apology and seems committed to fixing the game, and of course, their image.

Curious to see if Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will finally be definitive? Let us know!
