DNF Duel release date set for June 2022

DNF DUEL joins the fight in AWT!

With the Arc Revo America fighting tournament all wrapped up, Arc System Works announced their newest title. The combined efforts of Arc System Works, Neople, and Eighting brought together characters from Dungeon Fighter Online; anime fighter game DNF Duel hits the stage this upcoming June.

New characters to fight as

DNF Duel features a 2.5D fighting world, with 3D cel-shaded anime character models and artistic backdrops. In the game’s release trailer, the game highlights a variety of characters dishing out fast combos. Some character’s we’ve already seen, but the release trailer also gave attention to two new ones: Ghost Blade and The Mechanic.

The game’s beta test exclusively ran on PlayStation for free December 17-20, 2021. In the beta, players had 10 characters to pick from one the roster. Along with the game’s release date, they tease some additional characters you’ll get to pick up and fight with.

Additionally, Arc System Works plans for the game to be featured heavily in competition events alongside its release. Particularly, the game will be included in the Arc World Tour, a worldwide fighting game tournament. The Arc World Tour sports a pretty $100,000 prize pool that plans to be split between DNF Duel and Guilty Gear Strive. So, best pick up this game as soon as it hits the market to get ready to fight!

When does DNF Duel release?

DNF Duel releases June 28, 2022 on PS4, PS5, and PC. While the beta was opened on PlayStation and PC, there’s been no word if the game will come over to Xbox or Nintendo Switch. Until then, PlayStation and PC users can look forward to duking it out in tournaments with this face-paced fighting game.
