Did SEGA inadvertently list the Xbox Series X release date?

As SEGA announced in a recent press release, Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be a launch day title available for the Xbox Series X, and will also be making its way to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a simultaneous launch.

Truth be told, it was a pretty standard press release, but where things get interesting is when you look at Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s Microsoft Store listing because it shows the game will release the evening of Nov. 12. Could that mean the Series X would see a Friday, Nov. 13 release?

While not a hard confirmation, this date does line up with Microsoft’s announced plans of a November release for the Series X.

In previous generations, Microsoft released the Xbox One on Nov. 22, 2013, which also happened to be a Friday, so Microsoft has a precedence for a Friday console launch.

Of course, this all could be a coincidence or even a placeholder date for Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s release as other retailers like Amazon and Walmart have a Dec. 31 date in their listing. This could mean that SEGA hasn’t released an official release date to their retail partners.

In any case, it’s an interesting discussion point and one we shouldn’t have to wait too long before Microsoft confirms when the Xbox Series X will officially release.
