Dead Island 2 joins this week’s upcoming games

Dead Island 2, Minecraft Legends and more!

Good morning, and happy Monday, everyone! It’s the start of a new week, which means we have lots of exciting new releases to look at. Whether you want to enter HELL-A in Dead Island 2 or experience the blocky adventure of Minecraft Legends, there’s something for you.

Disney Speedstorm (Apr. 18)

Starting things off this week, we have Disney Speedstorm. Developed and published by Gameloft, this licensed racing title puts all of your favorite Disney characters in the driver’s seat. Featuring iconic characters ranging from Jack Sparrow to Mickey Mouse, each character has their own unique skills to match their style.

In addition, you can also level-up and upgrade your favorite Disney characters as you play. Over time, the game will also expand its roster to include even more legendary characters. Disney Speedstorm races out to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC tomorrow for free.

God of Rock (Apr. 18)

Riffing into your home next is God of Rock. Developed and published by Modus Games, this rhythm fighter sees the souls of the universe’s greatest musicians revived to clash like never before. Featuring 12 colorful personalities across eight worlds, it’s up to you to fight across this musical battlefield to ultimately dethrone the God of Rock.

Gameplay works similarly to titles like Guitar Hero, albeit with notes corresponding to attacks that play out in epic fight sequences. As you hit the notes and match the rhythm, your character will pull off a series of attacks and build up a special meter to launch devastating finishing moves. You can shred into God of Rock tomorrow when it hits PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Minecraft Legends (Apr. 18)

Then, developer Mojang and publisher Xbox Game Studios bring some strategy to the blocky world of Minecraft. Minecraft Legends is real-time strategy game where you amass units and build a base to take on the legions of piglin armies. Throughout the game, you’ll need to build mob spawners to build your own armies, including popular staples in Minecraft, as well as all new golems.

The game also offers a robust multiplayer mode. From co-op to PvP, you and other players can also test your strategy together. Minecraft Legends comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC tomorrow.

Puzzle Quest 3 (Apr. 18)

Puzzle game fans won’t want to miss Puzzle Quest 3. Developed by Infinity Plus Two and published by 505 Games, this puzzle game utilizes the match-three and role-playing mechanics from past games. Throughout the game, you’ll compete in head-to-head battles where enemies can manipulate the puzzles of their opponents.

In addition, the third entry to the series features an adventure mode, a larger puzzle board and seasonal storylines. Though it first launched last year on PC and mobile devices, console players can finally experience the exciting puzzle duals. Puzzle Quest 3 comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One tomorrow.

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story (Apr. 18)

The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story is an action RPG that takes place in the League of Legends universe. Developed by Digital Sun and published by Riot Forge, this game places you in the kingdom of Demacia. Players take on the role of Sylas, a spell-stealing mage, as you work to liberate your homeland from the Mageseekers who hold all the power.

Throughout the game, you’ll need to master a variety of magical elements from burning flames to freezing ice as you customize unique spells. In addition, you’ll need to grow the numbers of your army to raise a rebellion against the Mageseekers that can’t be stopped. The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story casts out onto PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC tomorrow.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores (Apr. 19)

Burning Shores is the new story expansion for Horizon Forbidden West. Developed by Guerrilla Games and published by PlayStation Studios, the action-packed DLC takes Aloy to the ruins of a fallen Los Angeles. Now, Aloy must venture to the lands to pursue a sinister new threat to the planet.

Alongside the new location, the DLC also adds new storylines, characters and experiences. As you also encounter new machines, how will the story of Horizon Forbidden West continue. You can find out on Wednesday when Burning Shores comes to PlayStation 5.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly is a simulation game developed by Toge Productions and published by Chorus Worldwide. In the game, you’ll meet all sorts of fun characters as you brew their coffee and share some heart-to-heats. Though not all of your customers are humans, you’ll experience some true human connection as you listen to their stories over a nice warm beverage.

In addition, the game also allows you to express your creativity by drawing your own latte-art masterpieces. Overall the relaxing and touching game will give you something to smile about. You can relax with Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly when it brews onto PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this Thursday.

Super Meat Boy Forever (Apr. 20)

Super Meat Boy Forever is a platformer brought to you by Team Meat. The game stars our favorite titular hunk of meat on his most intense adventure yet. Alongside our hero is the new protagonist Bandage Girl.

Making the game that much more challenging is that it is also an auto-runner. As the game progresses, you’ll need to time your jumps and attacks while your heroes constantly run through the levels. Though it previously launched on other platforms, you can jump into Super Meat Boy Forever on iOS and Android mobile platforms this Thursday.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp (Apr. 21)

Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp is a strategy game that remakes the classic games from Game Boy Advance. Developed by WayForward Technologies and published by Nintendo, you’ll need to master your strategy as you battle through two separate campaigns. Across the numerous turn-based battles, you’ll also meet multiple fun characters from all the rival nations.

In addition to the two campaigns, you can also take on your friends in Versus Mode. Here, up to four players can battle across dozens of maps as their favorite CO. You can blast into Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp Friday on Nintendo Switch.

Dead Island 2 (Apr. 21)

Closing out this week is Dead Island 2. Developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver, the long-awaited sequel to Dead Island promises to let you become the ultimate zombie slayer. From stabbing a pipe through their chins up to their brains to, quite literally, punching a hole through their faces, there is no shortage of gruesome ways to kill zombies.

In addition, the game will feature six playable characters with distinct personalities and dialogue. Also, like the first game, Dead Island 2 boasts a co-op mode, so you can survive the apocalypse with your friends. You can slash into Dead Island 2 on Friday when it launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
