And he's got major chin game.

Rally your forces and step into the realm of chaos in Total War: Warhammer III in preparation for the upcoming DLC. With four new Chaos Lords abound and new campaign mechanics, look forward to a wave of content. In the latest news for the Total War: Warhammer III DLC, Champions of Chaos, Festus the Leechlord steps forward to make an introduction.

Champions of Chaos: Festus the Leechlord

Doctor Festus is a deranged devotee of Nurgle who pledged a lifetime of service to the Plague God in return for his forbidden knowledge. He goes to war with few intentions beyond furthering his revolting studies of sickness, ailments, and plagues… It is a far better fate to die on the battlefield than to be captured for the doctor’s experiments!

What can you expect from Doctor Festus on the battlefield? Through his horrifying concoctions, Festus manipulates the battlefield through Lore of Nurgle spells. He can either hurt or heal through his Harbinger of Pestilence ability on enemies or his Healing Elixir ability on combatants. Only one ability can be active at a time, as they are toggleable passive abilities.

Faction Effects:

  • Vassals gain poison attacks and spread Nurgle’s corruption
  • Can brew Plagues
  • Souls +25 when a plague is spread

Lord Effects:

  • Plague duration: +3 turns (local armies)
  • Battle healing cap: +25% (Lord’s Army)
