Analogue Pocket will finally ship right before Christmas

Players will finally be able to pocket Analogue's long-awaited handheld system.

The Analogue Pocket faced a series of delays since last year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Analogue’s latest delay set the release back to December. Fortunately, the latest delay was indeed the last. Analogue announced that the Pocket will begin shipping on December 13.

In today’s blog post, the company announced that they sent an email to everyone who pre-ordered the Pocket. In the email, they state that anyone who ordered an Analogue Pocket can expect to receive their shipment between December 14 and December 30.

For those who cannot receive shipments during the holiday season, Analogue is providing the option to delay shipment. Customers who request a hold on their delivery will receive their Pockets after January 3, 2022. In addition, customers also have the option to update their shipping address.

To request a hold or change the delivery address, Analogue requires customers to either reply to the email or contact support@analogue.co. The deadline to make delivery changes is November 28.

The reveal from two years ago

For the uninitiated, the Pocket is a handheld gaming console with the ability to play games from a variety of retro handheld systems. The device has the ability to play games made for Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. In addition, the Pocket can also play games for Neo Geo Pocket Color, Atari Lynx and SEGA Game Gear. The device accomplishes this versatility through the use of cartridge adapters.

Although customers were first eager to shell out $200 for the ultimate handheld gaming experience, the consistent delays left many people frustrated. Thankfully, the wait is nearly over. Players can finally get their hands on the Analogue Pocket this December.
