A new Silent Hill title has been rated in Korea

Well, it’s getting close to Halloween. Do you know what that means in the gaming world? Rumors about the return of Silent Hillof course! It’s the series everyone who loves horror wants back; And not as slot machines, Konami.

It seems like Konami is finally listening. Earlier this year, rumors swirled that three new titles in the franchise are in development. There hasn’t been any substantial confirmation that this is true until now. A new game called Silent Hill: The Short Message has been rated in Korea. You can check out a tweet below that shows the official rating classification.

A couple of points to break down here. While no consoles are listed, CC-NV is often used for console games. That’s the good news. Now the bad. The publisher listed is UNIANA. They often work with Konami in Korea on mobile games, including eFootball 2023.

So what could this Silent Hill game be? Is it one of the three titles rumored earlier this year? Or is it just another cash-grab mobile game by Konami? There’s one part of that first rumor that piques my interest. One of the rumored games in development is by Annapurna Interactive. If you know the publisher, you know they work on games outside of traditional conventions. It won’t shock me if their Silent Hill game is something that could work on mobile along with consoles. A text adventure, maybe?

We will keep readers updated on any future news regarding this new title. Are you excited to see the potential return of Silent Hill? Or do you think Konami is teasing us all again? Let us know in the comments below!
