If you were reading this 20 years ago, you would have never imagined to see Sonic the Hedgehog in a Super Mario game. Various images surfaced the other day on the Miiverse that includes Sonic the Hedgehog climbing the top of the flag pole in Super Mario Maker. Since the game supports over 73 Amiibo, each Amiibo unlocks its own content within the game, such as costumes and items.
It’s pretty surreal to see the 2D sprite of Sonic in a Mario game, but I’m all for it! Super Mario Maker is scheduled to be released on September 11th for the Wii U. What do you think of Sonic showing up in Super Mario Maker? Sound off in the comments below!
