Warner Bros. announces MultiVersus will be at EVO 2022

Players who want to practice early can sign up for the Closed Alpha, which runs until next Friday.

On Wednesday, EVO announced on Twitter that Warner Bros. will host a MultiVersus tournament at EVO 2022.

The MultiVersus tournament will showcase the game’s emphasis on team-ups by running 2 vs. 2 matches. There will also be a top 32 team payout with a prize pool total of $100 thousand. Registration for Evolution Championship Series 2022 begins on May 30. EVO 2022 will begin on Friday, August 5 and run until Sunday, August 7.

In addition, those interested in practicing their fighting skills early can sign up to play the MultiVersus Closed Alpha. The Closed Alpha began yesterday and runs until May 27 at 5 PM PDT. Although time is limited, sign-ups are still active now on the MultiVersus official website. However, it’s worth noting that there is a cap on the amount of players who can join the Closed Alpha.

MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighter that features a diverse cast of Warner Bros. characters. The game features multiple modes, including 1 vs. 1, 4-player free-for-alls as well as the game’s main focus: 2 vs. 2 team-up matches. Developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Games, you can play the game on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. In addition, it also features full cross-play support across all available platforms. Currently, the Closed Alpha features multiple characters to play as.

Although the Closed Alpha has limited space and ends next Friday, there will still be a later opportunity to get your hands on the game early. Warner Bros. will also launch an Open Beta test in July. Then, the full game will launch later this year.
