The Sonic Dash in the Google Play store is a fake

People have been waiting a long time for Hardlight Studios to release Sonic Dash on Android devices. Even the studio’s boss, Chris Southall, told us in a recent interview to expect it soon. Well, it’s now out there on the Google Play store, but the only problem is it’s a fake.

The fake developer is operating under the name Activision Publishing Limited, and looks to have several other fake games from several other developers, including Activision, on the service. I have no idea what’ll happen if you install the game and run it on your device, but I sure as hell amn’t going to try it out.

But just in case you’re still worried the game won’t be officially coming to Android soon, Hardlight tweeted one more tweet of assurance.
