The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie releases this week

Gylt and The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie

Good morning, and happy Monday, everyone! Independence Day is tomorrow, and we have two awesome new games to celebrate as well. Whether you want to explore the world of The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie or dive into the dark world of Gylt, there’s something new for you. So, without further adieu, here are this week’s upcoming releases.

Gylt (July 6)

Starting things off this week, we have Gylt. Developed and published by Tequila Works, this horror adventure game first came to Stadia in 2019. Since Google shut the platform down, the developer/publisher revealed it would work to make the game multi-platform. The game centers around a girl named Sally, who searches for her missing cousin in a haunted town.

Throughout the game, the narrative deals with deeper themes of bullying and depression through gameplay reminiscent of Inside. With a unique Tim Burton-inspired art direction, the game blurs between cartoonish and genuinely creepy. Gylt comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC this Thursday.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie (July 7)

Closing out this week is The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie. Developed by Falcom and published by NIS America, this JRPG marks the fourth entry in the Trails of Cold Steel story arc. The new game follows the adventures of Lloyd Bannings and his comrades from the Crossbell Police Department’s Special Support Section.

Throughout the game, you’ll experience robust and strategic turn-based battes against formidable adversaries. With diverse skills and abilities, you’ll also grow your abilities throughout each encounter. You can play The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie on Friday when it comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

What upcoming games will you be playing this week?

Overall, we have two exciting new titles for gamers to look forward to. From the dark world of Gylt to the rich JRPG of The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie, this week offers a lot of excitement. But what game are you most excited to play? As always, let us know what you think in the comments!
