Following the announcement of a new Sonic series and departure of Sonic’s voice actor, we have some more sad news to share with you all. After the news of Roger Craig Smith leaving the Sonic series, a fan asked Amy voice actor Cindy Robinson about her fate.
Robinson confirmed her departure from the franchise, stating:
The day before Robinson’s announcement, Tails voice actor Colleen O’Shaughnessey also touted her departure. It appears Sonic Prime wants a fresh start with brand new voice actors for Amy, Sonic, and Tails.
Sonic Prime is scheduled for a 2022 release date, so we’re sure plenty of details will be about before then. Thanks to all the Sonic voice actors who’ve contributed to Sonic in the past decade!
