South of the Circle joins this week’s upcoming games!

Three awesome new indie titles to be excited for!

Good morning everyone, and happy Monday! It’s once again time to look at all the new games releasing this week. Whether you want to experience a deep, emotional adventure in South of the Circle or bring two unlikely sports together in Turbo Golf Racing, there’s something for you. So, let’s check out all the exciting new titles releasing this week!

South of the Circle (Aug. 3)

Starting things off this week, we have South of the Circle. Developed by State of Play and published by 11 Bit Studios, this adventure game tells an emotional story centered around survival and romance during the Cold War. Set during the 1960s, players take on the role of a scientist named Peter who faces internal conflict between a brewing global conflict and his relationship with his love Clara.

The internal struggles soon escalate into an external struggle, as Peter finds himself stranded in Antarctica. This gripping narrative tale first debuted on iOS mobile devices in 2020. But on Aug. 3, you can play it on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Turbo Golf Racing (Aug. 4)

Zooming onto the course next is Turbo Golf Racing. Developed by Hugecalf Studios and published by Secret Mode, this arcade-sports title takes cues from Rocket League by marrying two unlikely sports together into addictive, fast-paced action. As the name suggests, however, instead of using high-speed vehicles in soccer, you’ll take your racecars to the golf course.

In the game, players compete in multiplayer matches to race to the hole, while guiding their respective giant balls to the finish. To win, you have many tricks in your arsenal, such as jumps, dashing, gliding and flipping your vehicles to knock your ball through boost rings and past obstacles. If you love over-the-top competitive gaming, then you’ll want to get Turbo Golf Racing on Aug. 4. The game will be available on Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.

Recipe for Disaster (August 5)

Developer Dapper Penguin Studios and publisher Kasedo Games bring the heat to the kitchen in their latest simulation title Recipe for Disaster. For anyone who ever dreamed of running their own restaurant, this game is for you. From building harmony and skill within your team of chefs to identifying the unique tastes of your guests, you’ll need to stay focused in order to grow your business.

Throughout the game, you’ll also have full reign on building the restaurant of your dreams with an immersive customization system that incorporates game progression. Along with designing the look and functionality of your restaurant, you’ll also get full control over hiring and managing the perfect (and not-so-perfect) employees to join your team. You can step into the kitchen in Recipe for Disaster on Aug. 5 for PC.

What upcoming games will you be playing this week?

Overall, this is a great week to be a fan of indie games. From the emotional story-driven adventure game South of the Circle to the management sim Recipe for Disaster, gamers of varying tastes have something to look forward to. But we want to know what game you’re most excited for. As always, share your thoughts with us down in the comments!
