Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed hits iOS, Android on Jan. 2

It appears that Ryo Hazuki will finally be able to let loose his vengeance, except his rage will be carried out on his fellow SEGA brethren instead of Lan Di. SEGA just announced on its social media accounts that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will release on iOS and Android on Jan. 2 and includes Hazuki as a playable character.

SEGA didn’t say how much the game will be upon release, but its predecessor is only $.99, but we can’t imagine it being more than $4.99. Also, there was no mention if Hazuki will make his way to other platforms, but PC is essentially a lock as he was spotted in Yogscast’s livestream not too long ago.

Another interesting tidbit to note is Hazuki’s OutRun racing cabinet features a license plate with the words “SHEN 3.” Could this be SEGA’s first official tease that Shenmue 3 is in fact a thing or just one more piece of masterful trolling?
