‘Skies of Arcadia’ dev wants to make a sequel

It’s been nearly 20 years since the release of Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast, and former developer of the game wants a sequel to be made.

Kenji Hiruta, who worked on Map System Programming on the orginal game, posted a sketch of Vyse to his Twitter to celebrate the release of the game back in 2000.

Through the tweets, a user named Pixel claimed that one developer form the original game was pushing for SEGA to make another sequel. Hiruta would confirmed himself that he wants a sequel to be made.

Skies of Arcadia was released on the Dreamcast on November 13, 2000 in North America. A port to the GameCube was made on January 27, 2003 under the name Skies of Arcadia Legends. Maybe with enough push, SEGA will see the demand and make a dream a reality. However, it is still just a dream.
