SEGA Networks enters the crowdfunding business in Japan

SEGA Networks has joined Fuji TV and Goopa to create a new crowdfunding business called Crowdrive in Japan and will begin operation in late October, according to a SEGA Networks press release.

Initially, Crowdrive will focus on anime-focused projects, but it will expand to include video game projects in May 2015. SEGA Networks will handle the platform’s operations, while Fuji TV will serve as the primary business planner and operator.

So, uhhh, is anyone else imagining Yu Suzuki planning a Crowdrive campaign to  help create that ol’ game of his everyone wants him to develop so bad?
