SEGA has partnered with Google and Amazon to celebrate Sonic’s 25th Anniversary

Sonic the Hedgehog has officially turned 25 years old today, and some more special announcements have been revealed. SEGA announced that they are partnering with Amazon to takeover their homepage  “for a homepage takeover offering exciting deals, custom merchandise and an amazing celebration for this momentous occasion.” If you’re still playing sonic Dash, you can log in to the game on Amazon Underground for a chance to win some amazing prizes!

Google’s AdMob platform has had a ton of interesting information and interesting facts about the Sonic series, which you can check out here. 

SEGA also announced that 100 more tickets have become available for the Sonic bash on July 22nd event, so if they’re not sold out already, be sure to grab yours! SEGA has also detailed the kinds of cool swag that attendees can expect to get at the big event.

“The limited edition swag will include a signature Sonic New Era baseball hat, a SEGA Genesis console inspired USB stick, a Limited Edition, individually numbered and silver-plated 25th Anniversary collectors coin, of which only 2,000  are being produced, an exclusive version of the Sonic: Mega Drive #1 comic book by Archie Comics, and a lovable, huggable, TOMY Big Head Plush.

During the fan event at the notable music hall, fans will be able to enjoy a live musical performance by Hyper Potions and also Crush 40, whose guitarist is known for the composition and arrangement of a number of tracks on several Sonic games, including “Sonic The Hedgehog 3” and “Sonic Adventure.”  “
