SEGA Considering to Bring “WITH Sanrio” proyect overseas

In a press conference issued this January 28th (2016) in Japan, SEGA Networks representatives presented “Sanrio Characters Fantasy Theater” to the press, SEGA’s new Sanrio mobile game (part of a series of collaborations on their “WITH Sanrio” project), as we reported before.
During the conference, Kioka Katsutoshi (SEGA Games Japan Domestic Business Unit Director), presented the game’s Promotional Video and talked about the appeal of this title for its female target and casual players, he also commented that they are consulting with Sanrio to bring this appealing title overseas.

The presentation continued showcasing the title’s features: Puzzle gameplay (grabbing the pieces falling from above) with an optional “Fever mode” and Sanrio mascots dressed as Fairy Tale characters.

During the conference, it was revealed that famous Japanese band PUFFY (which also arrived to the west thanks to a Cartoon Network show titled Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi) is perfoming the game’s opening song, while also celebrating the band’s 20th Anniversary. Enjoy the comment video below:

The press conference ended with Airi Matsui (Japanese Idol who is also featured in the “Sanrio Characters Fantasy Theater” TV spots) commenting on her love for Sanrio Characters and playing the game along Hello Kitty and My Melody costume mascots.
