SEGA and JAKKS Pacific enter new Sonic toy licensing deal

JAKKS Pacific will now be the global toy partner for Sonic

Yesterday, California based toy company, JAKKS Pacific, announced that they have entered a multi-year deal with SEGA to become the global toy manufacture and distributor for the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They will showcase their new lineup at the International Toy Fair in New York City from Feb. 16 to 19.

The 4” toys that will be showcased in New York.

Their new line of toys will include action figures, plushies, playsets, and collectables. Here is what JAKKS Pacific Vice President of Marketing, Craig Drobis, had to say about the new deal:

“We are incredibly excited to work with SEGA of America to bring this iconic property and character to life. The JAKKS line of toys, role-play, and dress-up extends the ‘Sonic’ experience from screen-time to play-time.”

The toys will be available at a later date, except in Asia, and will have a starting retail price of $4.99.
