Resident Evil 8 first RE game to pass 100,000 concurrent players on Steam

When it comes to Capcom’s Resident Evil series over the years it’s been hit or miss. However, with the assist of Lady Dimitrescu, this lead to the first game in the franchise to surpass 100,000 concurrent players on Steam. According to SteamDB page it peaked at 106,631 players.

At the same time of this player peak they had over 600,000 Twitch viewers at the same time! This beats all 9 others games in the series including the remakes of RE 2 and 3 that released with high praises.

Resident Evil Village Release Peaks in Players and Viewers.

In the promotion of the game leading up to release, Lady Dimitrescu and her 3 daughters have been the focus. It helped out that during this time fans of the series have been making content surrounding the mystery of the characters.

The numbers from the report are quite impressive. Paired with solid reviews from fans and critics, the praise is well deserved. If you’re looking for something that marries RE 7 and 4, this game is for you.
