Persona 5 the Stage 3 graces Japanese theaters this December

Persona 5 and the franchise’s popularity really hit the stratosphere in the past couple of years. Persona 5 Strikers recently hit 1.3 million copies sold, and the core games continue to dominate the charts. To keep the hype train rolling for Persona fans, SEGA and ATLUS created two stage plays inspired by the game.

During a recent livestream commemorating the second play’s release on Blu-ray and DVD, they announced a third iteration. Persona 5 the Stage 3 is officially coming this December. Besides the release date, no major details were revealed at the time. Here’s what their official Twitter had to say:

It roughly translates to:

[New performance decided! ]“PERSONA 5 the Stage # 3”
It will be performed in Osaka and Yokohama in December 2021!
Stay tuned for more details!

It’s important to note that the original cast was the same for both the first and second iterations of the play. The possibility of the same cast returning is pretty high. Both previous stage plays only covered the first few hours of the game. Could we see more of the story explored in the third play?

Persona 5 the Stage 3 will play in Osaka and Yokohama Japan December 2021. If you’re curious about the livestream, you can watch the rerun here.
