New Guilty Gear Strive character may have been teased

Coming in locked and loaded, a new Guilty Gear Strive character may just have been revealed. The Guilty Gear Strive Early Access Showcase aired this morning showing some early plot points in the story, along with discussing some information on the Season Pass DLC schedule. Interestingly enough, it’s believed that a new character central to Guilty Gear Strive’s storyline was just teased.

The new character, referred to as Happy Chaos, is presented as a major villain within Guilty Gear Strive’s greater storyline. Armed with a revolver, I expect him to fill in the zoning archetype in a sea of rush-down gorillas.

The Guilty Gear Strive Early Access Showcase served more as a recap of previously mentioned assets coming to the base game, like showing off the dollhouse-like private lobbies players can create, supporting up to 9 players at a time. Series Creator and Director Daisuke Ishiwatari and Producer Akira Katano also touched on some of the design inspirations to newcomers Nagoriyuki and Giovanna, such as the historical and cultural references each character exudes.

More information can be found below in the archived live showcase. Guilty Gear Strive officially launches for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam on June 11th. Players who pre-ordered the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions will get early access starting June 8th. Stay tuned to Mega Visions for future details.
