Mega Man: The Wily Wars Collector’s Edition ‘coming soon’ from Retro-Bit

The Mega Man series is one of Capcom’s crown jewels of games. For over 30 years, the franchise delivered top notch platforming and memorable boss to your local television screen. We’re still waiting for a Mega Man Legends 3!

In 1994, SEGA’s Genesis/Mega Drive was blessed with Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It was essentially remakes of the original three titles, plus one extra game. The extra game was called Wily Tower, and you could only unlock it after completing one save file. Unfortunately, a physical release of the game did not make it to North American shores. We only got our hands on the game through the SEGA Channel service.

When the SEGA Genesis Mini was released in 2019, Wily Wars was one of the titles included in the game library. For those yearning for a physical edition, you might be getting your wish soon. Earlier this morning, retro console and accessory maker Retro-Bit teased this on Twitter:

Subscribers to their e-mail chain also received a link to a YouTube video (which you can check above). At the end of the teaser video, the title “Mega Man: The Wily Wars Collector’s Edition” pops up. If it’s what we think it is, get ready for many wallets to be opened.

Stay tuned to Mega Visions tomorrow as we wait for Retro-Bit’s big reveal. Are you hoping for a physical collector’s edition? Share your thoughts with us below!
