Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games comes to Wii U this summer

We’ve known for some time now that we’d be getting the Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games later this month, but the Wii U version’s release date has eluded us up to this point.

Thankfully, in today’s Nintendo Direct all was revealed, including two new events that are coming to the series for the very first time.

Mario & Sonic will release on the Wii U on June 24, and the two new events are Rugby Sevens and Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs, which can be seen in the above trailer.
