Majora’s Mask is the latest classic coming to Nintendo Switch Online

You can revisit one of Link's classic adventures on Switch in February!

Nintendo revealed last night that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will arrive on Nintendo Switch Online next month.

As like previously added Nintendo 64 titles, Majora’s Mask will only be available to subscribers with the Expansion Pack tier. This means standard Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will need to upgrade their plan to get access to the iconic title. Currently, Nintendo did not reveal the exact date Majora’s Mask will arrive, but it will come sometime in February.

Nintendo’s official announcement

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask originally launched in 2000 for Nintendo 64. The sixth game in The Legend of Zelda franchise marked the second entry for N64, following up the critically-acclaimed Ocarina of Time. Unlike the previous entry, however, Majora’s Mask built a darker atomosphere in the odd but familiar place known as Termina.

The game follows Link’s journey to stop the moon from crashing into the Earth after Skull Kid sends him to Termina. Throughout his quest, Link must repeat the same three days in order to stop the evil for good.

Like Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask is universally loved and celebrated by fans of all generations. In addition to its original N64 release, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask also received ports for both Wii and WiiU. A remastered version is also available for Nintendo 3DS.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask will officially hit Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in February. Although the official date remains unconfirmed, Nintendo will likely announce it a few days prior to launch.
