KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series will launch later this year!

Bandai Namco just announced yesterday that KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series will launch for Nintendo Switch on July 8, 2022.

In addition, it will also come to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S and PC at a later date. The new collection remasters both KLONOA: Door to Phantomile and KLONOA 2: Lunatea’s Veil. The announcement confirms the rumors circulating last year after fans discovered registered trademarks for Wahoo Encore and 1&2 Encore.

What is KLONOA?

For the uninitiated, KLONOA is a platforming series developed by Namco. The series stars Klonoa, an adorable animal with the ability to explore dream worlds. The first game in the series, Door to Phantomile, debuted in 1997 for the original PlayStation. Its sequel, Lunatea’s Veil, came four years later for PlayStation 2.

The game features 2.5D platforming action with a wild story that sets it apart from other platformers. In addition, the KLONOA games feature a unique grabbing mechanic that also establishes its identity.

KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series, the remastered collection, brings the iconic Wind Ring back that allows you to grab and throw your enemies. Other features also allow you to adjust the difficulty and bring a friend for two-player co-op fun.
