Infernax announced—retro returns on PC, PS4, Xbox, and Switch

Developed by Berzerk Studio and published by The Arcade Crew, action-adventure game Infernax has been announced for release in Q1 2022.

Following the retro-style we all know and love, the Infernax trailer showcases a variety of fun challenges and gore-y monsters to slay. The game follows great knight Alcedor who returns home to discover it has been plagued with unholy magic. As players uncover the mystery of the curse using Alcedor’s trusty mace and shield, they’ll explore a dangerous open world with secret areas. With fate in their hands, players have the opportunity to alter the course of the game through their choices, with the trailer suggesting the player can “be good” or “be evil”. Multiple endings can be achieved based on player choices.

Between the bright 8-bit graphics, the leveling system, and the old-school adventure platform style, Infernax leans on childhood nostalgia. Players will surely be reminded of their old 8-bit favorites when they pick up the game to slay some demons.

Although Infernax is yet to be available for preorder, an overview of the game can be seen on its Steam page, where it leaves one last warning listed in the game features: “Pucker up buttercup because it’s about to get gory.”

Infernax will be available on PC, PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
