General Chaos II fails to meet Kickstarter goal

It’s with a heavy heart that we must report that the sequel to the SEGA Genesis cult hit, General Chaos, failed to meet its $125,000 Kickstarter goalGeneral Chaos II: Sons of Chaos was only able to muster $15,835 behind 357 backers in its month-long campaign.

Despite the sad news, Game Refuge CEO Brian Colin had an uplifting message to his backers. “Although we haven’t reached our Kickstarter goal, I want to assure you that this game will get made; it just may take us a little longer,” he wrote.

Colin went on to write that fans of the game can send an email to generalchaos@gamerefuge.com with the words “GENERAL CHAOS LIVES” in the subject line to continue to receive updates about the game’s progress.

It really is a shame the game didn’t meet its goal, as we were fans of the original. However, it’s great that Game Refuge will move forward with the game’s development.
