Leading up to Friday’s release, Bandai Namco unveiled the official launch trailer for FromSoftware’s newest title Elden Ring.

The launch trailer features tons of new footage, including never-before-seen characters and moments. As a result, the official press release warns people to watch it at their own discretion. For players who want to experience the new game with fresh eyes, it’s advised not to watch the trailer.

The new trailer shows off some of the breathtaking environments players will traverse as they make their way through the Lands Between. From snow-covered wastelands to massive castles, players can expect to traverse a variety of treacherous locations.

In addition, we also get a look at some of the imposing bosses that will be sure to kill all of us over and over. From a towering serpent to a monstrous lobster-like creature, there appears to be no shortage of ways to die in FromSoftware’s newest endeavor.

The highly-anticipated Elden Ring is the latest game from legendary Dark Souls developer FromSoftware. The new game builds on the Souls formula by incorporating new mechanics to the familiar gameplay. In addition, the game’s story was co-written by famed Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin.

Elden Ring releases this Friday, Feb. 25 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. In addition, players who purchase the game on last-gen consoles can upgrade to current-gen for free.
