Good morning, and happy Monday, everyone! It’s the start of a new week, which means we have lots of exciting new releases to look at. Whether you want to enter the magical world of Disney Illusion Island or smash into the next Double Dragon, there’s something new for you. So, let’s not waste anymore time as we look at this week’s upcoming games.

Mr. Run and Jump (July 25)

Starting things off this week, we have Mr. Run and Jump. Developed by Graphite Lab and published by Atari, this platformer features lush neon graphics and fast-paced platforming stages. As you race through levels, you’ll need ultra-tight control over your character to get through the frantic action.

Throughout the game, you’ll also explore the Realms of Color on a quest to defeat Void to find your missing dog Leap. Originally created as a homebrew title for Atari 2600 in 2021, the new version features modern graphics and controls. You can speed into Mr. Run and Jump when it races onto PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC tomorrow.

Remnant II (July 25)

Blasting into your home next is Remnant II. Developed by Gunfire Games and published by Gearbox Publishing, this action-packed looter shooter features an expanded archetype system with four unique classes. As you play, you’ll need to take on deadly creatures and horrific bosses to stop an evil from destroying reality itself.

Blending ranged and melee combat, you’ll need to choose the right gear to optimize your build for the different biomes and battles ahead. In addition, the game offers both single-player and three-player co-op. Remnant II blasts onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC tomorrow.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (July 26)

Then, Insomniac Games and PlayStation Studios brings the newest Ratchet & Clank adventure to PC. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart puts players through a dimension-hopping adventure where the duo must face their old foe Dr. Nefarious. The original version of the platformer scored high reviews, both for its gameplay and visuals.

The new PC port also features quality-of-life improvements such as ray-tracing and an unlocked framerate. In addition, it will feature performance-enhancing upscaling for many high-end graphics cards. You can jump into Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for PC this Wednesday.

Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons (July 27)

If you love beat ’em ups, you won’t want to miss Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons. Developed by Secret Base and published by Modus Games, this co-op brawler hopes to revitalize the classic but dormant series. The game places Billy and Jimmy into a ruined New York City, following a nuclear war.

Now, it’s up to them to take back the city from the violent gangs that took over. With 13 playable characters, featuring classics and newcomers alike, the retro-style beat ’em up will bring Double Dragon back into contemporary gaming. You can smash into Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons when it comes to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC this Thursday.

The Expanse: A Telltale Series (July 27)

The Expanse: A Telltale Series is a prequel to the Amazon TV series of the same name. Developed by Deck Nine and published by Telltale Games, the game places you into the role of Camina Drummer. In the game, you’ll have to explore the outer belt while making tough decisions that will affect the fate of her crew.

Featuring a Telltale’s signature storytelling and choice-based gameplay, fans of the show won’t want to miss this one. Throughout the game, you’ll have to deal with lots of colorful personalities, square off against a mutiny and explore beyond the solar system’s outer belt. You can experience The Expanse: A Telltale Series this Thursday on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
