Digimon Con, the virtual event for everyone’s favorite digital monsters

An exciting new event for Digimon Fans around the world.

Remember those cute virtual pets—or rather “digital monsters?” you played with and watched as a child? Well, fans of the Digimon franchise can look forward to a new event coming up next year with their favorite digital monsters and characters. Digimon Con, an online event announced by Bandai Namco, will be available across the world this upcoming year.

What is Digimon Con?

Digimon Con “seeks to be a celebration of all things Digimon.” A look at the official con website lists different exciting content for watchers to look forward to. The event plans to use both live and pre-recorded segments. Additionally, the website notes the con will be streamed in both English and Japanese, and that a portion of content will vary between versions.

Content includes:

  • Anime special planning segment
  • Series game info segment
  • Digimon Vital Bracelet Series new info and special app-related planning segment
  • Announcement of the initial selection results of the Digimon Illustration Competition
  • Special live performance by singer Ayumi Miyazaki

While the website has yet to announce a timetable, it notes that it and other details are upcoming. Certain products and services, such as merchandise, may not be available in every region. Because the event still seems to be in the works content-wise, content may be subject to change in the future. Be sure to check out the official website or Twitter for new information moving forward.

When can we tune in for the event?

Digimon Con begins February 26, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. PST/8:00 p.m. EST. on Bandai’s official YouTube channel. Other than supplying your own internet, the event will be free of charge. Digimon lovers won’t want to miss out on what the online convention has to offer. Being united across the world with Digimon lovers alike, fans can enjoy a con experience from the comfort of their own home.
