Darkest Dungeon II, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and more!

Happy Monday, everyone! It’s the start of another week, which means we have some great new games in store. Whether you want to enter the gothic world of Darkest Dungeon II or experience the epic adventure of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there’s a new game for you.

Darkest Dungeon II (May 8)

Starting things off this week, we have Darkest Dungeon II. Developed and published by Red Hook Studios, this horror RPG will test your mettle and drive you to the brink of madness. The follow up to 2016’s cult classic promises even deeper battles and darker enemies than before.

Throughout the game, you’ll form a party, equip your stagecoach and set off across a decaying landscape to stop the apocalypse. Though you’ll fend off against nightmarish hordes, your greatest dangers may actually come from within. Darkest Dungeon II crawls out to PC today!

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox (May 9)

Venturing into your home next is Ys IX: Monstrum Nox. Developed by Nihon Falcom and published by NIS America, this JRPG finds Adol “The Red” Christin on his latest journey in the Prison City of Balduq. As his dreams and reality are intertwined as one, you’ll join him and the Monstrum to battle the creatures of the night and shed light on the mysterious curse cast upon themselves.

Players can choose any of the six notorious Monstrums to play as, each with their own unique gifts and abilities. As you explore the huge city, you’ll also accept quests to aid the townsfolk and enter the Grimwald Nox to vanquish threats. Though the game previous launched for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in 2021, PlayStation 5 gamers can play Ys IX: Monstrum Nox tomorrow.

The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth (May 10)

The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth

Then, EA takes us to Middle-Earth in The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth. This free-to-play mobile RPG aims to provide players a strategic, social-competitive experience, set within Tolkien’s fantasy world. The game will feature deep storytelling with turn-based combat to immerse Lord of the Rings fans within the world.

In addition, the game will also feature an expansive collection system and wide roster of characters from across the LOTR universe. Throughout the game, players will need to battle through iconic stories from the world of Tolkien and fight against the great evils of Middle-Earth as well. You can journey into The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle Earth this Wednesday on iOS and Android devices.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (May 12)

Closing out this week is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Nintendo’s next entry into the iconic franchise lets you carve out your own path as you explore the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and mysterious islands in the skies above. With new abilities, Link will need to fight off against the malevolent forces that threaten the kingdom.

Throughout the game, you’ll also need to use abilities like Ultrahand and Fuse to make new weapons and craft creative ways to travel. In addition, you’ll discover new ways to build, battle and play as you uncover the secret threat that could destroy Hyrule. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom soars onto Nintendo Switch this Friday.
