Boogerman picks and flicks his way onto Kickstarter

It’s booger!

Nearly twenty years after the original game launched on the SEGA Genesis, our unlikely hero Snotty Ragsdale returns as Boogerman for a brand new HD adventure.

“The re-imagined Sewers, featuring the Sewermander. Now with 100% more swimming!”

Simply titled Boogerman 20th Anniversary: The Video Game, the snotty nosed follow up will not be a sequel nor a remake, but instead a re-imagining of the original platforming title. Led by the creative talent behind the original, Mike Stragey and Chris Tremmel have pitched the project to the Kickstarter crowd and are asking for the reasonable funding goal of $375,000.

Backers need only pledge $12 to secure themselves a digital copy of the game, though many stretch goals and higher tier rewards are in place. The game will be developed in the increasingly popular Unity engine and planned release platforms include PC, Mac OS, PS4, PS Vita, and Wii U.

Did we mention Grant Kirkhope will be composing the soundtrack, too? Grant’s music dates way back to the N64 era, composing soundtracks for such popular titles as Banjo Kazooie and Perfect Dark. More recently, Grant’s work can also be heard in the 3D update to SEGA’s classic title, Castle of Illusion.
