Venba (July 31)

Starting things off this week, we have Venba. Developed and published by Visai Games, this narrative cooking game puts you into the shoes of an Indian mother. After immigrating to Canada in the 1980s, you’ll cook various dishes to restore lost recipes.

Throughout the game, you’ll also hold branching conversations as you explore a story about family, love and loss. This slice-of-life game promises a deep narrative centering around the struggles of being an immigrant family. You can play Venba today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Baldur’s Gate 3 (Aug. 3)

Closing out this week is Baldur’s Gate 3. Developed and published by Larian Studios, this RPG sees you return to the Forgotten Realms in a tale of fellowship, betrayal, sacrifice and survival. After mysterious abilities awaken inside you, it’s up to you whether you resist and overcome the darkness or embrace the corruption to become the ultimate evil.

Throughout the game, you’ll get to choose from a wide selection of D&D races and classes and choose up to three other companions to accompany your adventure. As you journey on, you’ll adventure, loot, battle and romance across the Forgotten Realms and beyond. You can start your adventure in Baldur’s Gate 3 when it comes to PC this Thursday. It also launches next month for PlayStation 5.
