Alan Wake Remastered gets 7 minutes of 4K footage

Alan Wake Remastered releases in a couple of days after years of speculation. The 2010 horror classic has received a fresh new 4K treatment for release on PlayStation and PC for the first time. IGN was able to get hands-on with the game for seven minutes of remastered footage that showcases an early portion of the spooky classic. You can check out the video below:

Based on the footage, it looks like Remedy went all out with the visual upgrade. The lighting and shadows will only bring out more of the horror from the wild tale it weaves. Adding a steady 60 frames per second is a fantastic improvement as well to keep the action smooth. I tried playing the original Alan Wake for the first time a couple of years ago on my Xbox One. The game wasn’t bad by any stretch, but you can tell it was dated. Now with all these quality of life improvements, I’m ready to check out this horror tale on my Series X.

Alan Wake Remastered releases on October 5th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4/5, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Are you excited to return to the world of Alan Wake? Let us know below!
