If you’ve ever wanted to visit one of the most iconic retro arcades in Japan, you now can do it from the comfort of your own home. A virtual tour of SEGA’s Retro Game Floor is now available online.

The virtual tour features the ability to click through the entire arcade with 365 degrees of mobility. The entire tour is fully rendered in high definition to make you feel as though you are really there. In addition, you can interact with every arcade cabinet. Doing so will provide further information on the game. Some even have additional images and videos to provide the viewer a rich learning experience.

The actual arcade is located in Akihabara Building 3 in Tokyo, Japan. The Retro Game Floor hosts a variety of classic SEGA arcade games. Some of the games include Daytona USA 2, After Burner and LA Machineguns, among others.

In January this year, SEGA re-opened the Retro Game Floor. The arcade originally opened at SEGA Akihabara Building 5. This building first opened in July 2019. SEGA chose to move it to the sixth floor of Building 3. Although Akihabara Building 2 remains permanently closed, the re-opening of of the Retro Game Floor in Building 3, along with the virtual tour provides hope to arcade gamers.
