Well that didn’t take very long! After breaking all kinds of box office records (including the highest grossing video game movie of all time in North America) and getting good reviews from fans and critics, the Sonic movie is getting a sequel.
Earlier today, Paramount Pictures and SEGA Sammy confirmed a second movie, and announced the writers (Pat Casey, Josh Miller) and director (Jeff Fowler) returning as well. That’s as much as they can tell us now, stating:
The movie is still in the development stage so decisions have not been made yet regarding casting or a production start date.
